By the grace of Hashem,
6 Adar 5712,

I greet and bless you,
I have received your letter, in which you inform me that you have not been feeling well for several weeks. The doctor recommends a surgical intervention.
I wish to convey to you my brachah* that, with the help of Hashem, all proceed well, that your state of health improve, that you go from better to better, and that you be able to convey to me good news in the matter.
Our Sages explain in the Midrash that the mazal* of the month of Adar is that of fish, which is directly connected to the Jewish people, of whom it is said that "they shall multiply[1] upon the earth." These, even in their earthly and material concerns, conduct themselves like fish, and they therefore cannot remove themselves from the place of their existence[2], as Maseches Berachos 61b states. Likewise, Jews do not remove themselves from Torah and mitzvos.
Your mazal will bring you a refuah sheleimah* and good health.

קבלתי מכתבו בו כותב שזה איזה שבועות שאינו מרגיש את עצמו בטו ודעת הרופא שיצטרך לנתוח...
הנני בזה להבעי ברכתי שיתן השי"ת שהכל יהי' בהצלחה וכשורה ובריאותו ישתפר והלוך ילך וטוב ויוכל בעצמו לבשר בשורות טובות בזה.
ובחדש אדר זה שרז"ל אמרו במדרש שמזלו הוא דגים שזהו ענין ליהודים ובפרט חסידים שעליהם נאמר וידגו לרוב בקרב הארץ, שגם בענינים ארציים וגשמיים נוהגים כמו דגים, שלא יפרשו ממקור חיותם (ברכות ס"א ע"ב) וכן לא יפרשו מדרך התורה ומצות כמו"כ מזלו יביא לו רפואה קרובה ובריאות הנכונה.
