Greetings and brachos*,

I received with pleasure your letter of Tuesday of Parshas Shemos, in which you describe to me your education and your life until the recent past. I say with pleasure, because I have already heard about you on different occasions, without ever having had a direct contact with you. I hope that we will correspond from now on, and that there will result from this a strengthening of Torah and mitzvos*.

You do not evoke, in your letter, your study of nigleh* of Torah and Chassidus*. There are presently in your city a few young men with whom you can discuss and conduct such a study in a systematic manner. I hope that you will not put all this off to later and that you will set order in your study, if it is not already done.

You complain about not having had the opportunity to study Torah in your youth. I will make on this subject two remarks:

A) Several gedolim* of our people began their studies late, for various reasons. For all that, these were very fruitful.

B) It is clear, in any event, that one cannot take this as a pretext to make the study disappear or even to lighten it. Moreover, this study must bear on all parts of the Torah, including Chassidus.

Hashem granted you the merit of providing the chinuch* of Yiddishe* children, who are also Hashem's children. You bring their hearts closer to that of their Father Who is in heaven, and it is therefore certain that Hashem will come to your help. Thus you will know success in your personal studies and in the chinuch of your children, with your wife.

אמש מסר לי הרב חודקוב שי׳ אודות שיחתם הטלפונית ,וזה עתה

הגיע מכתבו ,מסירה מיוחדת ,עם קטעי העתונות.

בנוגע לזה שדואג ונדמה לו שסוחר אחר עלול להצר לו בהזמנות

ולהקטין את פרנסתו חלילה ,ושואל דעתי,

הנה ,על־פי בקשתו ,כשאהי׳ על הציון של כ״ק מו״ח אדמו״ר

זצוקללה״ה נבג״מ זי״ע ,אזכירו עוד פעם.

בכל אופן ,עליו להיות בטוח ,ככל היהודים ,שהם מאמינים בני

מאמינים ,שמזונותיו של אדם קצובים לו מראש השנה ועד יום הכפורים,

וההכנסה שהקב״ה קבע עבורו ,שהנני בטוח שהיא בהרחבה ,אף אחד לא

יוכל ח״ו להקטין ,ובודאי לא לקחת.

רק צריך להיות חזק בבטחון בהקב״ה ,וזה צריך להיות בשמחה ,כמו

שכתוב בזהר פ׳ תצוה )קפ״ד ,ב( שעולמנו התחתון מקבל את כל ההשפעות

מלמעלה ,ואם כאן למטה הוא בשמחה ואור ,כך נותנים גם אור ושמחה

מלמעלה ,וכתוב עבדו את ה׳ בשמחה ,במילא ,כשיהודי שמח ,אזי השמחה

למטה ממשיכה עליו שמחה מלמעלה.

בפרט בעניינו ,שיש לו את הזכות של מזכה הרבים ע״י שמאפשר

הדפסת ספר של כ״ק מו״ח אדמו״ר זצוקללה״ה נבג״מ זי״ע ,בטח תעמוד

לו שתהי׳ לו פרנסה בהרחבה ,ומה שחשוב עוד יותר ,שישתמש בזה

בהצלחה לדברים בריאים ולעניני תורה ומצוות ביד רחבה.
