Greetings and brachos*,

You state your bitterness in your letter. You therefore ask yourself whether you are fit to teach in a class. It is doubtless clear, for you also, that this is an intervention of your yetzer hara*, intended to weaken your efforts to awaken the heart of the talmidim* of the yeshiva.

It is a pity to lose time discussing such arguments and refuting them. You must strengthen yourself in your decision, having had the merit of being the rector of a yeshiva founded by my father-in-law, the Rebbe. You are thus bound to him, and this bond is the channel conveying the strength and the power to assume your role — that of forming these classes so that his talmidim be chassidim*.

For, at the conclusion of all the arguments, such is indeed your shlichus* in this world, entrusted to you by the Creator; and by assuming it, by doing, in the expression of the Alter Rebbe[1], "that for which you are needed, you will receive from Hashem that which you yourself need."

I am enclosing the list of practices[2] that it is fitting to adopt on the day of the hilula*[3], 10 Shevat. You will surely disseminate it in the appropriate manner.

With my brachah* of success in your sacred shlichus and that you assume it with joy, which is a quality for yourself and for that which you must accomplish,

... ומ"ש במכתבו עניני המ"ש שמי יודע אם מתאים הוא ללמוד עם כתה וכו' הנה בודאי גם בעיניו ברור שאין זה אלא מהסתת היצר להחליש השתדלותו לקרב לבם של תלמידי הישיבה, וחבל על הזמן השו"ט לבטל טענות אלו, ויהי' חזק בהחלטתו אשר זכה להיות מהר"י בישיבה מיסודה של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר ובמילא מקושר הוא אליו וקישור זה משמש ג"כ צנור להשפיע לו כח ויכולת למלא התפקיד של הדרכת הכתות שלו באופן שסו"ס יהיו חסידים, ואשר אחר כל החשבונות הרי זהו שליחותו ותפקידו בעלמא דין, וכאשר ממלאים התפקיד המוטל עליו מהבורא ית' אז בלשון כ"ק אדמו"ר הזקן, אויף וואס מען דארף דיך, דעמאלט גיט השי"ת אלץ וואס דו דאפרסט.

מוסג"פ הנהגות ליום ההילולא יו"ד שבט הבע"ל, ובטח יפרסמם באופן המתאים.

בברכת הצלחה בעבודתו בקדש ושיעשה את זה מתוך שמחה וזה מעלה הן לו והן לעבודה.
