To the great rav*, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem,
Rav E.[1],

Greetings and blessings,

I have duly received your letter of 14 Kislev and that of the 27th. I thank you very much for having given me this precise description.

I have explained several times, to yourself and to the leadership of the association of Chabad chassidim*[2], how capital it is that the schools be placed under the responsibility of this association, in addition to the yeshivos that already exist.

When you were here, I told you that, for various reasons, the representatives of the religious parties in Eretz HaKodesh* would come to your aid in this matter. Officially, there is an unaffiliated stream into which these schools may be enrolled.

All this has a concrete bearing. For we will be able, in this way, to assume responsibility for religious schools in which it is not yet possible to study Chassidus*, in particular several Talmud Torahs and chadarim* founded by the communal officials of the camps[3].

It is to be hoped that, very soon, there will at last be good results from the action of the coordinating committee. When this is the case, if it proves impossible to enroll the schools that are under our responsibility in this unaffiliated stream, there will result a loss that I do not know if it will be possible to make up.

You will kindly distribute my letter[4] to the directors of all the Chabad institutions, and, unofficially, tell me what you think of it.

קבלתי מכתבו מיום י"ד וכ"ז כסלו, ות"ח ת"ח על כתבו בפרטיות ע"ד הענינים...

הנה כמה פעמים דברוני, הן עם כת"ר והן עם עוד מהנהלת אגו"ח, על דבר הנחיצות, הכי גדולה שיהיו מוסדות חינוך תחת כנפי אגו"ח נוסף על הישיבות הקיימות, ואמרתי ג"כ לכת"ר בהיותו פה, שבטוח אני שמכמה טעמים יסייעו בזה באי-כח המפלגות הדתיות באה"ק ת"ו, ובאופן רשמי הרי יש זרם בלתי זרמי שעל שמו יוכלו להקרא כל מוסדות אלו, וזה נוגע להפועל ממש, כי יש האפשריות, זה מכמה זמן , להכניס מוסדות דתיים לרשותנו שאין מסכימים עדיין ללימוד החסידות וכיו"ב, ומהם חלק מהתלמוד תורות והחדרים המתייסדים על ידי פעילי המחנות...

יש לקוות אשר בעתיד הקרוב הנה סו"ס יהיו תוצאות גם מעבודת

הקאארדינייטיניג קאמיטי, ואם גם לזמן ההוא לא תהי' אפשריות למוסדות חינוך ברשותנו קבועים בזרם בלתי זרמי, יגרום זה ג"כ להפסד שאיני יודע אם אפשר יהי' לתקן עוד אח"כ.

בבקשה לפרסם מכתבי כללי הנ"ל בין הנהלות המוסדות חב"ד, ולהודיעני [חות ד] עתו באופן בלתי רשמי אדותיו.
