Igrot Kodesh · Letter 1352 — Faith & Bitachon

Volume 5 · Letter 131

By the grace of Hashem,
17 Teves 5712,
Brooklyn,

I have duly received your request for a brachah* for your mother.

It is necessary to strengthen her bitachon* in Hashem, to be certain that He will restore her state of health. She must conform to the doctors' opinion, and she will do so easily if she is hospitalized. From time to time, you must ask after her. The hospital staff, observing this interest, will take better care of her.

You are her son, and you must therefore keep the three studies that my father-in-law, the Rebbe, instituted, which concern Chumash*, Tehillim*, and Tanya. You will read each day five chapters of Tehillim, in order, for the recovery of your mother.

May Hashem grant that you soon convey to me the improvement of your mother's health, that you tell me that she is going better and better.

With my brachah for studying Torah while being permeated with yiras Shamayim*,
