Greetings and blessings,

You have surely participated in the chassidishe* gathering[2] of the luminous day of Yud-Tes Kislev*, the festival of our redemption and the liberation of our soul[3]. My father-in-law, the Rebbe, speaks in his letters of gatherings of chassidim* in general and, in particular, of those of the festival of the redemption of the Alter Rebbe and of the victory of Chassidus* — the teaching of the Baal Shem Tov and the Maggid of Mezeritch.

For it is said that "the Bnei Yisroel*[4] went out with a high hand"[5], and those who took part in these gatherings have surely taken good resolutions, especially that of fixing a time to study nigleh*[6] and Chassidus.

I have already described, in my letters appearing in the Yud-Tes Kislev kuntres* of this year 5712, the immense responsibility and the great merit that lies, for each of us, in spreading the wellsprings[7] outward.

My father-in-law, the Rebbe, said that one must announce[8] a Yud-Tes Kislev gathering, that one must give a written report of it. You will therefore do so, in detail. You will indicate in particular the good resolutions that were taken on this occasion and how they have already been put into practice.

I would especially like to know about the public study sessions that you direct, or in which you participate. You know how much the Alter Rebbe and all our Rebbeim* underscored their importance[9].

I thank you for sending me a detailed report on this subject.

I await good news, and there is no good but Torah[10] and the luminary it contains[11].

בטח השתתף בהתועדות דיום הבהיר י"ט כסלו - יום חג גאולתנו ופדות נפשנו - ועל פי המבואר במכתבי כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע בנוגע להתועדות חסידים ובפרט התועדות דחג גאולת אדמו"ר הזקן ונצחון תורת החסידות - תורת הבעש"ט והרב המגיד - אשר בני ישראל יצאו ביד רמה, הנה בטח נתעוררו המתועדים בהחלטות טובות בכלל, ובפרט בדבר קביעות עתים לתורה הנגלית וקביעות עתים לתורת החסידות.

וכבר מלתי אמורה, במכתבי אשר בחוברת י"ט כסלו דהאי שתא שנת ה'תשי"ב, אדות גודל החוב והזכות של כל אחד ואחד מאתנו להשתדל ולהתאמץ בהפצת המעינות חוצה.

מתאים לדברי כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר אודות ההודעה והכתיבה ע"ד התועדות די"ט כסלו וכיו"ב, הרי בטח יודיע עד"ז בפרטיות, והעיקר - תוכן ההחלטות הטובות בהנ"ל, ואשר כבר התחיל בהבאתם לידי פועל.

וביחוד אתענין ע"ד השיעורים ברבים שלומד או משתתף בהם. וידוע כמה הפליגו כ"ק אדמו"ר הזקן וכל נשיאינו הק' במעלת לימוד זה.
