Greetings and blessings[1],

I would like to thank you, by these lines, for the seforim* that you kindly sent to my library, namely...[2].

In this matter, the larger the shipment, the better. The Master of peace will establish it for you and grant you good and brachah* — material and spiritual good.

On the occasion of the festival of the liberation of the Alter Rebbe, Rabbi Schneur Zalman, founder of Chabad Chassidus*, I sent you my brachah* by a telegram whose text was as follows:

"Good Yom Tov on the occasion of the liberation of our master, author of the Tanya*, and of the victory of Chassidus*. May his merit protect us all, within the people of Israel. And may you know success in your sacred mission."

As you know, the Alter Rebbe, whose joy we celebrate, emphasized that Chassidus* is not the prerogative of a few persons or of a single group. It is the inheritance of all the people of Israel. In a well-known letter, the Baal Shem Tov* writes that, during an aliyas neshamah*, on Rosh Hashanah, he entered the chamber of Moshiach* and asked him: "When will you come?" He replied: "When your wellsprings[3] spread to the outside."

Thus, every act contributing to the dissemination of the wellsprings of Chassidus*, the luminary of Torah, prepares and hastens the coming of our righteous Moshiach*, very soon and very promptly, amen, ken yehi ratzon*.

May Hashem grant that you have peace, that your Torah bear fruit, and that you know brachah* in the work of your hands, for good and for blessing, materially and spiritually.

לקראת חג הגאולה של רבינו הזקן כ"ק אדמו"ר רבנא שניאור זלמן זי"ע מייסד תורת חסידות חב"ד, שלחתי לכהדר"ג שליט"א ברכתי במברק: יומא טבא לחג גאולת רבינו בעל התניא ונצחון תורת החסידות, זכותו יגן על כולנו בתוך כלל ישראל. הצליחו בעבודתכם הקדושה.

ידוע אשר רבינו הזקן, בעל השמחה, אמר כי תורת החסידות אינה ירושת יחידים או של מפלגה, כי אם מורשה היא לכל עם ישראל. וכאגרת הבעל-שם-טוב הידועה, אשר עשה עלית נשמה בראש השנה ונכנס להיכלו של משיח ושאלו: אימתי קאתי מר, והשיב לו: לכשיפוצו מעינותיך חוצה.

הרי שכל ענין ופעולה העוזרת להפצת מעינות תורת החסידות, המאור שבתורה, היא הכנה והחשה לביאת משיח צדקנו בעגלא דידן ובזמן קריב, אכי"ר.

ושלום לכהדר"ג ולתורתו יסגי חילו באורייתא ויצליח בכל מעשה ידיו לטובה ולברכה בגשמיות וברוחניות.
