Greetings and blessings[1],

I would like to ask you to organize a Chassidic farbrengen* on the fifth or eighth night of Chanukah*, with the talmidim* participating in the full cycle of study of Chassidus* and not only in the Tanya* shiur*. In the course of this farbrengen*, you will give to each one, in my name, five hundred francs as a Chanukah gelt*[2].

To the extent possible, it should be a new coin or a new bill. You will consult on this HaTamim, vol. 6, p. 96.

Obviously, I assume the financial responsibility for all of this.

I thank you very much for all that you will do in this matter. Please also send me the names of the talmidim* who received this money, as well as the names of their mothers.

בזה הנני לבקש את כת"ר שי' לערוך התועדות בליל חמישי או בליל שמיני של חנוכה הבע"ל עם תלמידי הישיבה אשר לומדים סדר שלם בדא"ח (ולא רק תניא בלבד) ולחלק לכל אחד מהם דמי חנוכה בשמי - 500 פראנק.

ואם אפשר מה טוב שיהי' במטבע או בניר חדש (להעיר מ"התמים" חלק ו' עמוד צ"ו).

מובן מעצמו אשר הנ"ל יהי' על חשבוני.
