Greetings and blessings,

I have been made aware, through the intermediary of the Rav, distinguished Chassid who fears Hashem and devotes himself faithfully to communal needs, Rav Menachem Ze'ev HaLevi Gringlass[1], of the Bar Mitzvah of your son, and I therefore address my brachah* to him, in the letter that you will find enclosed.

Rav M. Z.[2] has also informed me of your disappointment, due to the fact that your son does not feel an attraction for study[3].

In my view, you should financially take charge of two talmidim* of the yeshivah and, in general, give a large contribution to tzedakah*. Evidently, you must also, at the same time, guide your son onto the path of ardor for study and ask Hashem to arouse in him interest, fervor, and enthusiasm for it.

In wishing you to conceive, from your son, a Jewish and Chassidic ardor,
