Greetings and blessings,

I received your request for a brachah*[1] through the intermediary of the Rav, distinguished Chassid who fears Hashem and devotes himself faithfully to communal needs, Rav Shmuel Dovid Raichik[2].

I advise you to adopt the three studies that should be the practice of all, that is to say, the Tehillim according to their monthly division, each day, after the morning prayer; the Chumash with the commentary of Rashi, also daily according to the Parshah of the week, that is, on Sunday from the beginning of the Parshah to Sheni, on Monday from Sheni to Shlishi, and so forth; the Tanya*, according to its division for each day of the year.

You shall strive to study the profound teaching of the Torah[3], which awakens the love and the fear of Hashem, sentiments that are compared to a son and a daughter, in their spiritual dimension. It is in this way that one can have children[4], as the Alter Rebbe* writes, in a letter printed in Me'ah She'arim[5].

And, your wife shall give tzedakah* to the pushke of Rabbi Meir Baal HaNess[6], before lighting the candles, on the eve of Shabbos and of the festivals.

קבלתי הפ"נ שלו, ע"ד הרה"ח הוו"ח אי"א נו"מ עוסק בצ"צ באמונה וכו' מוה"ר שמואל דוד שי' רייטשיק.

ואציע לו, אשר יחזיק בהשלשה שיעורים השוים לכל נפש, והם, אמירת יום תהלים (כפי שנחלק לימי החדש) אחר תפלת שחרית בכל יום, ולימוד פרשת חומש עם פרש"י (מפרשת השבוע) בכל יום, ביום א' מהתחלת הסדרה עד שני וביום ב' משני עד שלישי וכו', ולימוד שיעור תניא בכל יום, כפי שנחלק התניא לימי השנה, ויתאמץ בלימוד פנימיות התורה המביאה לאהוי"ר שזהו בן ובת ברוחניות, וזהו סגולה לבנים וכמ"ש אדמו"ר הזקן (במכתב הנדפס ב"מאה שערים").

וזוגתו תחי' תפריש צדקה לצדקת רבי מאיר בעל הנס (רמבעה"ן) קודם הדלקת נרות בכל עש"ק וערב יום טוב.
