To the leaders of the yeshivos of Lod and Tel Aviv, to whom Hashem shall grant long life,

Greetings and blessings,

I reply to the question that you posed to me through the intermediary of the Rav, distinguished Chassid who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav S. Gourary[1]. This bore upon the relation to be established between the two yeshivos of Lod and Tel Aviv[2].

I have already said that they must be maintained, both of them. The one in Tel Aviv must in no way disappear.

For all that, it is necessary to render compatible the program of study of these two yeshivos. The one must prolong the other, without there being interruption between them. It seems that all the forces, from the point of view of the teachers as well as of the talmidim*, are concentrated in Lod. It is therefore necessary that the talmidim of Tel Aviv may directly continue their studies at the yeshivah of Lod.

במענה על שאלתם על ידי הרה"ח וו"ח אי"א נו"מ עוסק בצצ"ב וכו' מהור"ש שי' גורארי' בענין היחס שבין שתי הישיבות בלוד ובתל-אביב.

הנה כבר מלתי אמורה, ששתיהן צריכות להתקיים, ואין לבטל בשום אופן הישיבה בתל-אביב.

אבל לאידך גיסא, צריכה תכנית הלימודים שבשתי הישיבות להיות מסודרת באופן שיתאימו, ויהי' המשך מאחת לחברתה בלי הפסק ביניהן. וכיון, שכנראה, מיטב הכחות, הן בהמשפיעים והן בהתלמידים, הוא בלוד, יש לסדר, אשר מהישיבה בתל-אביב יוכלו התלמידים לעבור ולהמשיך לימודם בהישיבה בלוד באופן ישר.
