Greetings and blessings,

I received your letter and the request for a brachah* that accompanied it. Bli neder*, I shall read the latter by the tziyun* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, before Rosh Hashanah.

You ask me whether you may go to visit the Holy Land after the festival of Sukkos. I have doubts about the wisdom of this visit, during the year of the Shemittah*.

I would like to know what has become of your son, after that of which we spoke when you were here, both of you, some time ago.

On the occasion of the new year, which comes, for us and for all of Israel, for good and for blessing, I wish to express my brachah to you, as well as to all the members of your family, that you be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year, both materially and spiritually.

קבלתי מכתבו עם הפ"נ המוסגר בו, ואקרא את הפ"נ - בל"נ - על הציון של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע לפני ר"ה הבע"ל.

בנוגע לשאלתו אם לבקר את אה"ק ת"ו אחר חג הסוכות הבע"ל, אסתפק מה מקום לזה בשנת השמיטה וכו'?

אתענין לדעת מהנעשה עם בנו שי' בהמשך להדברים שנדברנו יחד כשהי' כת"ר עמו כאן זה מזמן.

ולקראת השנה החדשה הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה, הנני בזה להביע ברכתי לו ולב"ב שיחיו, ברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.
