Greetings and blessings,

I took note with satisfaction of your letter of Wednesday of Parshas Tavo, in which you tell me that your husband is recovering his health and that your son helped you to manage your business. I hope that you will continue to give me good news of yourself and of all yours.

I read with pleasure in your letter that you organized, among the women, a chesed shel emes* committee. It is difficult to describe the immense merit that such an activity represents. May Hashem grant that we soon merit techiyas hameisim*, when Hashem "shall make death disappear forever." Then there shall be fulfilled, in the physical sense, the promise that "you who cleave to Hashem your Almighty are all alive today."

On the occasion of the new year that approaches, for us and for all of Israel, for good and for blessing, I wish to express, to your husband, to yourself, and to the members of your family, my brachah*, that you be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year, materially and spiritually at once.
