Greetings and blessings,

I received your letter of Monday of Parshas Tavo, with the request for a brachah* that was attached to it. I shall read it, bli neder*, by the tziyun* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe.

You ask me what name to give[1]. My father-in-law, the Rebbe, would respond that he did not intervene in this domain, that it belonged to the parents to take the decision and that the child would have a long life.

In the bedtime Shema Yisroel, of course before the brachah "Hamapil"[2], you shall say the Tehillim Ya'ancha[3], you will then repeat once again the verse Ya'ancha and you will ask Hashem that this be considered as if you had had all the kavanos* it is fitting to have during this reading.

On the occasion of the new year, which approaches, for us and for all of Israel, for blessing, I address my brachah to you, as well as to the members of your family, that you be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year, materially and spiritually at once.

קבלתי מכתבו מיום ב' תבא, עם הפ"נ המוסגר בו, ואקראם בל"נ על הציון של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע.

בשאלתו בענין השם - הי' מענה כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר שאין מתערב בזה ועל ההורים להחליט ויהי' לאורך ימים.

בקשעהמ"ט יאמר (קודם המפיל כמובן) קאפיטל למנצח יענך וכשיסיימו יאמר עוד הפעם פסוק יענך ויחשוב שירצה כאילו כיוון כל הכוונות.

ולקראת השנה החדשה הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה, הנני בזה להביע ברכתי לו ולב"ב שיחיו, ברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד. בברכה.
