To the distinguished Chassid who fears Hashem, Rav Chaim[1],
Greetings and blessings,
On the occasion of the new year, which comes, for us and for all of Israel, for the good, I wish to wish you, as well as all the members of your family, to be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year.
I am happy to inform you that the printer does not cease to work[2], except during the few weeks preceding Rosh Hashanah and beginning the month of Tishrei. He must then interrupt, in order to prepare for that month. I hope that we shall be able to finish the work, including the binding, around 19 Kislev, if there are no unforeseen obstacles.
Thus, I have good hope that on the occasion of this great Chassidic festival[3], when the Rebbe, author of the Tanya*, and Chassidus* knew a great victory, it will be possible to publish a Sefer HaSichos*[4], whose publication will have been made possible by your generous participation.

לקראת השנה הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה הנני מאחל לו ולכל
בני ביתו שיחיו כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה.
הנני שמח לבשר לו ,שהמדפיס ממשיך כל הזמן בעבודה ,מלבד
שבועות ספורים אלו לפני ראש־השנה ותחילת תשרי ,שהוא מוכרח להפסיק
בגלל עבודות מיוחדות לתשרי שיש לו .תקותי שיוכלו לסיים את כל
העבודה ,והכריכה בכלל ,בסביבות י״ט כסלו ,אם לא יהיו עיכובים בלתי
צפויים מראש.
הנני מקוה ,אפוא ,שליום־טוב החסידי הגדול ,כאשר לאדמו״ר הזקן
בעל התניא יחד עם תורת החסידות הי׳ נצחון גדול ,יוכל לצאת לאור ספר
השיחות ,שהדפסתו התאפשרה הודות לתרומתו הנדיבה.
