Greetings and blessings,

The Rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem and devotes himself faithfully to communal needs, Rav Yaakov Hecht, informed me that the surgical operation of your son went well. I hope that you are feeling better and that you will be able to announce good news to me in this regard, telling me that his condition is improving.

I hope that you have had a radiological examination performed, as we spoke about when you were here. I would like to be informed of its results.

The chassid Rav Yaakov Hecht spoke to me of your positive activity in his shul* and especially in the Talmud Torah. I hope that this will develop in the future. You know the saying of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, that Hashem rewards "middah k'neged middah"*[1]. When you make efforts for the wellbeing of Jewish children — since "banim atem laHashem Elokeichem"*[2] — the Holy One blessed be He grants you Yiddishe nachas* from your children, and from your son in particular.
