By the grace of Hashem,

To the great Rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem,

Rav Shlomo[1],

Greetings and blessings,

I have just received your letter of Erev Rosh Chodesh* Elul. Likewise, the letter of the chassid who fears Hashem and devotes himself to communal needs, Rav Y. Elmaleh[2], informed me of the bris milah* of your son. Just as he has entered into the bris* of Avraham Avinu*, so may Hashem grant that you and your wife lead him to Torah, to chuppah*, and to maasim tovim*, in expansiveness and tranquility of mind and body. He will grant you to announce good news always and every day.

I thank you for informing me that you are sending sefarim* these days[3]. I believe I have already written to you that they need not necessarily be sifrei kabbalah*. They may also belong to nigleh*. You doubtless know that many sefarim have been printed in Djerba. It would be well to take an interest in them.

With my berachah for a refuah sheleimah* for your wife and for the child who has just been circumcised, wishing you to be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year, and to know hatzlachah* in your sacred mission,

זה עתה קבלתי מכתבו מער"ח אלול, כן נודעתי ממכתבו של הוו"ח אי"א עוסק בצ"צ מהור"י שי' אלמליח מהב"מ של בנו שי' ויהי רצון שכשם שהכניסוהו לבריתו של אאע"ה כך יכניסהו לתורה חופה ומעש"ט מתוך הרחבה במנוחת הנפש ומנוחת הגוף, הוא וזוג' תחי' ביחד, ויזכהו השי"ת לבשר בשו"ט תמיד כל הימים.

ת" על מה שמזכיר במכ' ששולח בימים אלו את הספרים. וכמדומה שכבר כתבתי במכ' שזהו לאו דוקא ספרי קבלה, כ"א גם ספרים בנגלה וכו'. ובטח יודע אשר הרבה ספרים נדפסו בג'רבה, וכדאי להתענין גם בהם.

בברכת רפו"ש לזוגתו תחי' ולרך הנמול שי', וכוח"ט לשנה טובה ומתוקה ולהצלחה בעבודתו בקדש,
