Igrot Kodesh · Letter 1160 — Tzedakah

By the grace of Hashem,

To the Rav, distinguished chassid* who fears Hashem,

Rav Saadya[1], emissary of the Sages,

Greetings and blessings,

I duly received your letter of the 26th of Menachem Av, with the lists which accompanied it. We are still awaiting confirmation from the office that the books have arrived.

You write that you have renewed the application for Meknes[2], and I am particularly pleased about this. May Hashem grant that you encounter immense hatzlachah*, in a supernatural manner within the natural process, as is explained in the maamar* published on the occasion of the 12th of Tammuz[3].

Enclosed is an excerpt from the sichah*[4] delivered at the farbrengen* of Shabbos Mevarchim*[5] Elul. You will surely disseminate it, in the appropriate manner, in the widest circles.

With my berachah for hatzlachah, and wishing you to be inscribed and sealed for a good year,

שבע רצון הנני ממה שכותב במכ' שהגיש עוד הפעם בקשה על מכנס, ויתן השי"ת שיהי' בהצלחה מופלגה למעלה מן הטבע בטבע. וכמבואר במאמר שנדפס לי"ב תמוז.
