By the grace of Hashem,

To the great Rav, distinguished chassid who fears Hashem,

Rav Avraham Eliyahu[1],

Greetings and blessings,

I learned with sorrow of the passing of your wife, Rabbanit Bracha Nyecha. May Hashem grant that you no longer know pain and trial, chas v'shalom*. The promise has been made to us that these days of mourning[2] will be transformed into gladness and joy. This new mourning will also be forgotten, and "they will awaken and rejoice, those who repose in the dust"[3].

A kuntres* of commentaries by the Tzemach Tzedek* on Eichah has just been delivered by the binder[4]. To it have been added chassidic discourses (maamarim*) by the Rebbe Maharash*, the Rebbe Rashab*, and my father-in-law, the Rebbe. Through your intermediary, the luminary[5] and the light of the Torah will reach thousands of Jewish homes. By this merit, Hashem will act middah keneged middah*[6] and will illuminate you with a visible and tangible good. You will derive much satisfaction (chassidishe nachas*) from your daughter and your son-in-law, the Rav.

I enclose two copies of this kuntres. You will indicate to the office how many more you require.

May Hashem grant that there soon be realized the promise in which we place all our hope: "I will turn their mourning into gladness"[7] and "these days will be transformed into joy and gladness"[8], amen, may it be so.

I extend to you my blessing that you may have good health and convey to me good news in this regard.

N.B.: I received in its time your letter of the 3rd of Tammuz, and in the meantime you have surely obtained from the office all the receipts corresponding to the list that was attached to it.

בצער נודעתי מפטירת אשתו הרבנית מרת ברכה ניעשא ע"ה, ויה"ר שמכאן ולהבא לא ידע עוד מכל עגמ"נ וצער ח"ו, ובימים האלו דאבלות ישנה אשר בטח יהפכו במהרה בימינו לששון ולשמחה הנה גם אבלות חדשה תשכח מן הארץ והקיצו ורננו שוכני עפר.

זה עתה הביאו מבית הכריכה הקונטרס רשימות על מגילת איכה לכ"ק אדמו"ר הצ"צ נ"ע ונוסף בו מאמר מכ"ק אדמו"ר מוהר"ש נ"ע מאמר מכ"ק אדמו"ר מוהרש"ב נ"ע ומאמר מכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, ויה"ר שבזכות זה שע"י כת"ר יבוא המאור שבתורה ואור תורה באלפים מבתי בנ"י, הנה במדתו של הקב"ה שהיא מדה כנגד מדה, יאיר גם אצלו באור טוב הנגלה והנראה ולראות רוב נחת מבתו וחתנו הרב שיחיו.

מצו"פ שני קונטרסים, ובטח יודיע להמשרד כמה עוד לשלוח לכת"ר שי'.

ויה"ר שב"ב נזכה ליעוד המקווה והפכתי אבלם לששון ויהפכו הימים האלו לששון ולשמחה, אכי"ר.
