To the distinguished chassid who fears Hashem and faithfully discharges
his task, Rav Yaakov HaCohen[1],
Greetings and blessings,
The kuntres*[2] of which I spoke to you has just been delivered by the binder. I am sending you a copy in express, by air. Perhaps you will receive it by 9 Av[3].
The fast of 9 Av is postponed this year[4]. May Hashem therefore grant that it be totally annulled, in accordance with the account that is reported at the end of this kuntres. We will from now on know only joy and gladness, with the complete and true geulah* through our righteous Mashiach*, very soon and in our days.
