It is surely unnecessary[1] to specify to you that a special program is necessary for the vacation period[2], and it must be prepared in advance, for, as our Rebbeim point out, every process is conditioned by its beginning. This is also the case for vacations.
For various reasons, it would be good, during the vacation, that the time of study be reduced as little as possible. Such has always been the Jewish custom, and if it has been adopted in all cities and all villages, all the more so must it be in the chassidic settlements[3].

...בודאי למותר לעוררם ע"ד תכנית מיוחדת לימי החופש שההכרח להכינה בעוד מועד, וכפתגם כ"ק רבוה"ק, אז ווי מען שטעלט זיך אוועק אזוי גייט דאס, וה"ה להנהגה דימי החופש. מכמה טעמים נכון לסדר שהחופש יתבטא רק במיעוט ומינימאלי של הלימודים, ותו לא, וכמנהג ישראל מאז ומקדם, ואם בכל הערים ובכל המושבות היתה הנהגה כזו כדאית, עאכו"כ במושב אנ"ש.
