By the grace of Hashem,

To the distinguished chassid who fears Hashem,

an energetic man, of many accomplishments,

who devotes himself with alacrity to communal needs,

Rav Binyamin[1],

Greetings and blessings,

Your telegram of the 18th of July has duly reached me.

Some time ago, I addressed myself to the leaders of the chassidim in the Holy Land, may it be rebuilt and restored, and asked them to make my opinion known, to follow up on the many questions that have been put to me. I said that every man and every woman is bound to participate in the elections, to vote for the most Orthodox lists, and to influence others to do the same[2].

I am convinced that my opinion has been disseminated in the proper manner.

The pain is great and the humiliation considerable[3] when one observes the impossibility of constituting a front at such a decisive moment. May Hashem grant that, at least now, the leaders of the religious parties find the strength to place the interests of all of Orthodox Yiddishkeit* before the illusory interests of their own faction. Each party will gain as a party, and one will constitute, at least now, after the elections, such a front.

מברקו מה - 18 לחדש יולי הגיע לידי.

זה מכבר פניתי למנהלי אנ"ש באה"ק ת"ו לפרסם דעתי, במענה על שאלת רבים, כי מחוייבים כל אחד ואחת להשתתף בבחירות ולהצביע בעד הרשימות החרדיות ביותר, ולהשפיע בזה גם על זולתם.

ובטח פירסמו זה באופן המתאים.

גדול הצער וכדאי בזיון שלא נתקיימה החזית בשעה מלאה אחריות זו, ויהי רצון אשר על כל פנים עתה יראו מנהלי המפלגות בעצמם די כח לבכר את האינטרסים של כללות היהדות החרדית על הרווחים המדומים המפלגתיים, אשר על ידי זה תהי' גם תועלת להמפלגה בתור מפלגה, ויקימו עכ"פ חזית עתה לאחרי הבחירות.
