B'ezras Hashem,

I received with satisfaction your letter of the first day of Rosh Chodesh* Tammuz, by which you inform me that your eldest daughter is to become engaged in these very days.
May Hashem grant that this engagement take place at a good and fruitful moment, materially and spiritually together. You will no doubt arrange that the interval between the engagement and the wedding be as short as possible. You will also announce to me good news in this matter.
You write to me that the chasan* is originally from Poland. You will surely find the appropriate means to draw him closer to the luminary of Torah, that is, to chassidus*, to the adoption of chassidic practices.
May you conceive from them, as from your other children, much Yiddishe and chassidishe nachas*.
Kindly transmit my greeting to the entire community. I conclude as I began.

בשמחה קבלתי מכתבו מאדר"ח תמוז המודיע אשר בתו הבכירה מרת... תחי' תבוא בקשו"ת ימים אלו עם ב"ג שי'. ויה"ר שיהי' הקשו"ת בשעה טובה ומוצלחת בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד. ובטח לא ימשיכו בההפסק שבין התנאים להחתונה בשעטומו"צ, ויבשרני בשו"ט גם מזה.
כפי שכותב במכ', הנה המדובר הוא מילידי פולין, ובטח ימצא כת"ר הדרכים המתאימים לקרבו ולהדריכו למאור שבתורה זו היא תורת החסידות והנהגה בדרכי החסידים ויקבל מהם ומשאר ילידיו וב"ב שי' אידישן נחת חסידישן נחת.
מטובו לפרוש בשלום כל החבורה שתחי' ואחתום מעין הפתיחה בברכת מזל טוב מזל טוב.
