To the students completing their schooling and to their parents, to whom Hashem will grant long life,

Greetings and blessings,

On the occasion of the granting of your diploma, I would like to greet all the students who are completing their schooling and going to enter higher classes, higher sections, thus pursuing their sacred education.

The summer vacations are now beginning, which are a period of rest and renewal of strengths, in order to preserve them for the new school year, which will begin positively, for us and for you.

Dear children, you must know that vacations are not a rupture with study and education. For a Jewish child cannot cease, even for a single day, in summer as in winter, to study Torah and to receive a good education.

Quite the contrary, during the free time the students have during the long summer days, you must review what you have already learned and prepare yourselves for what awaits you, on the way of Torah and mitzvos*.

Thus, by accumulating these renewed physical strengths, you will also arouse in yourselves moral strengths. The ones and the others, but especially the latter, make a person upright and sound.

As for you, Jewish parents, who permanently assume the role of parents and educators, you must know that during the summer months in particular, this falls upon you in a practically integral manner.

I address my blessing to you. May Hashem grant you, dear children, as well as your parents, your teachers, and your educators, good physical and moral health, with much satisfaction — a Jewish satisfaction — in calm of body and mind.
