Greetings and blessings,
I learned with satisfaction, through the distinguished chassid* who has yiras Shamayim*, my friend, Rav Chaim Mordechai Aizik Chodakov, that your matter has had a positive outcome. May Hashem grant that in the future as well, all should go well for you, materially and spiritually, as is fitting for a Jewish body and a Jewish soul. Obviously, peace can be established between them only when the first conforms to the will of the second, or, more exactly, when the animal soul submits to the divine soul.
How does one obtain such a result? Our Sages say that "one who studies Torah lishmah* establishes peace in the heavenly sanctuary and in the earthly sanctuary." In this case, the heavenly sanctuary is the divine soul and the body, the animal soul, as the Likkutei Torah* explains, in Parshas Matos-Masei, in the maamar* Hechaltzu. You will surely maintain the Torah shiurim* of which we spoke together.
Enclosed you will find a receipt for the amount that you sent me, so that I would give it to tzedakah* according to my own decision. I have transmitted it to the Confidential Affairs office, a tzedakah* fund that distributes discreet aid without making it publicly known. You know that the discreet gift is one of the highest forms of tzedakah*.

והדרך לזה הוא כמרז"ל כל העוסק בתורה לשמה עושה שלום בפמליא של מעלה ובפמליא של מטה, שפירוש פמליא של מטה הוא הנפש האלקית - והגוף ונפש הבהמית (ראה לקו"ת פ' מטות ד"ה החלצו), ובטח שומר השיעורים שדברנו אודותם.
מוסג"פ קבלה על הסכום ששלח על דעתי, ומסרתי ללשכת חשאין, קופת הצדקה שממנה ניתן עזר בחשאין ובלי פירסום, וידוע אשר מתן בסתר היא אחת המעלות הכי נעלות בצדקה.
