Greetings and blessings[1],

I duly received your letter, in which you inform me of the state of health of yourself, of your mother, of your children and of their family, of your son.

This Lag BaOmer*, finding myself near the tziyun* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, I mentioned all your names. Without doubt, he implores divine mercy that each one of you may be blessed with what he needs. I hope that you will announce good news to me in this regard.

Nevertheless, in order to receive the heavenly blessings, it is necessary to forge vessels, in particular by having a Jewish home, warm and luminous.

You will check that your mezuzos* are kosher. Each erev Shabbos* and erev Yom Tov*, before lighting the candles, you will give tzedakah*. You will ask your sons to put on tefillin* every day, except Shabbos and Yom Tov. If they cannot do so in the morning, they can still fulfill the mitzvah* during the entire day, until sunset. If they adopt this practice, I have good hope that these blessings will be realized.

You will kindly transmit to Mrs. ... that I have mentioned the name of her son[2] near the tziyun* of my father-in-law, the Rebbe. She will therefore write to him immediately to ask him to put on tefillin* every day, except Shabbos and Yom Tov, when he has a few minutes during the day, from daybreak to sunset.

One can wear tefillin* only for a few minutes, but it is necessary to do so each day. Thus, Hashem will protect him and he will return home in good health. I enclose for you a message[3] that she will kindly forward to him.

קבלתי מכתבה בו כותבת אודות בריאותה ,ובריאות אמה ואודות

ילדי׳ . . .עם משפחתו ובנה . . .יחיו;

כשהייתי בל״ג בעומר שעבר על ציון חמי כ״ק אדמו״ר זצוקללה״ה

נבג״מ זי״ע ,הזכרתי את כולכם ,ובטח הוא מעורר רחמים שהשם יתברך

יעזור לכל אחד מכם במה שכל אחד צריך ,אקוה שתבשר לי בשורות

טובות.

אבל כדי לקבל את הברכות מה׳ ברוך הוא ,צריך להכין כלים ,שהם ­-

שהבית יהי׳ בית יהודי חם ומואר;

תדאג שהמזוזות תהיינה כשרות ,ולפני הדלקת נרות בכל ערב שבת וערב

יום טוב תתן צדקה ,ואת ילדי׳ תזהיר להניח תפילין כל יום -חוץ משבת ויום

טוב -ואם אין להם אפשרות להניח תפילין בבוקר ,שיעשו זאת במשך היום,

עד שקיעת החמה ,וכשיעשו כן ,תקותי שהברכות יגיעו אליהם.

מו״ח אדמו״ר זצוקללה״ה נבג״מ זי״ע ושהיא תכתוב לו מיד ,שיקפיד על

הנחת תפילין כל יום -חוץ משבת ויום טוב מתי שרק יש לו כמה דקות

פנויות במשך היום מהבוקר עד הערב ,אפשר להניח את התפילין ולו לכמה

דקות בלבד ,אבל העיקר שיניח תפילין בכל יום בלי יוצא מהכלל] ,ובשכר

זה[ ישמרהו השי״ת והוא יבוא הביתה בריא ושלם ,הנני שולח ״מסר״,

מצו״ב ,שהיא ]האמא[ תשלח לבנה שי׳.
