To the distinguished chassid* who has yiras Shamayim*, Rav Shlomo[1],

Greetings and blessings,

Enclosed you will find a receipt for your participation in our work in North Africa, and another for the amount sent some time ago for the Maamad*[2].

You will surely be happy to learn that our work in North Africa is developing, thank Hashem. Our institutions[3] — the yeshivos*, the elementary yeshivos*, the Talmud Torah* schools for little boys and for little girls, the evening classes for those who have a professional occupation, and the teachers' training seminary — have acquired a good reputation. The number of students grows each day.

Likewise, many cities and regions of all of North Africa appeal to us, that we should establish ourselves there and extend our work to where it does not yet reach.

It is truly a matter of saving lives. The immense poverty, on one hand, and the negative influences, on the other, have meant that thousands of children of these countries are exposed to the grave danger of being cut off from Yiddishkeit*, chas v'shalom*.

Consequently, each one must strengthen himself and take the largest part possible in this action, encourage his friends and acquaintances to do the same. It is in this manner that one opens the channels allowing one to obtain the blessings of Hashem, material and spiritual.

וכן קבלה קודמת בעד מעמד.

בטח ישמח אותו לשמוע שעבודתנו בצפון אפריקה הולכת ומתרחבת

ב״ה .מוסדותינו :הישיבות ,ישיבות קטנות ,ת״ת לבנים ות״ת לבנות,

השתלמויות ערב לעובדים ,וגם בית מדרש למורים התפרסמו ,ומספר

התלמידים עולה מיום ליום .כמו כן פונים אלינו מערים ומדינות שונות בכל

חלקי צפון אפריקה להרחיב את עבודתנו גם למקומות שהיא עדיין לא

מגיעה לשם לעת עתה.

זו באמת עבודה של הצלת נפשות ,כי בגלל העניות הגדולה מצד אחד,

וההשפעה של לעומת זה מהצד האחר ,נמצאים אלפי ואלפי ילדים באותן

מדינות בסכנה גדולה של ניתוקם ח״ו מיהדות.

משום כך חייב כל אחד להתאמץ ליטול חלק כמה שיותר בעבודה וגם

להשפיע על ידידים ומכרים שגם להם יהי׳ חלק בעבודה ,שעי״ז פותחים

צנורות לקבל את הברכות האלוקיות בגשמיות וברוחניות.
